Privacy Policy

(Updated October 2025)

At dwai.com, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users and subscribers. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of information we collect, how it is used, and the steps we take to protect it. This policy applies to all visitors, users, and paid subscribers of our website and services.

By using our site or subscribing to our services, you consent to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

We collect information when users and subscribers interact with our website, search our directory, create an account, submit a listing, or make a payment.

A.Information Collected from Subscribers (Clients)

When a law firm, attorney, or consultant subscribes to a listing, we collect:

  • Identity & Contact Data: Firm Name, Contact Name, Email Address, Physical Address, Phone, Fax, and SMS Number. (Note: Contact details for billing/internal use are kept separate from public listing data).
  • Vetting & Verification Data: State License Number, Licensing State, State Registration Number (for consultants), and uploaded firm Logo or Image.
  • Payment Data: We use a third-party processor, Stripe, to handle all payments. We do not store full credit card numbers; we receive and store only a payment token necessary for recurring billing via WooCommerce Subscriptions.
  • Marketing Data: Submissions regarding interest in a custom sub-directory or newsletter sign-ups.

B.Information Collected from Visitors & Users

  • Search and Activity Data: Information related to search queries, categories clicked, state selections, and general navigation on our site.
  • Device Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referral source.

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To process subscriptions, manage recurring billing, and maintain client dashboards (via WooCommerce Subscriptions).
  • Listing Fulfillment: To publish and display approved listing information in our directory (via MyListing theme).
  • Security & Vetting: To execute the required manual verification process of licenses and registrations for all subscribers before granting “Verified” status.
  • Communication: To send transactional emails (invoices, renewal notices), respond to customer service requests, and send promotional materials only when consent has been given.

Site Improvement: To analyze user behavior (search terms, navigation flow) to improve our search features and website usability.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information (Internal Contact Name, Email, License Data) to outside parties, except in the following limited circumstances:

  • Payment Processors: Information required to process transactions is shared with Stripe and PayPal (as applicable), who are obligated to protect your data.
  • Service Providers: We may share data with trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website and conducting our business (e.g., email service providers, hosting). These parties agree to keep this information confidential.
  • Legal Compliance: We may release information when it is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety.

We implement a variety of security measures to protect your information, including the use of secure servers, SSL encryption (HTTPS) for all data transmission, and regular system monitoring.

  • Payment Data: We are built on WooCommerce and rely on tokenization for payments; we do not store sensitive credit card numbers.
  • Hosting: Our website is hosted on WP Engine, which provides specialized managed WordPress security.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Your information may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state or country (specifically, in the United States), where privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. By providing information to us, you consent to this transfer.

  • Managing Data: Subscribers can manage and update most of their public listing information and subscription status directly through their Client Dashboard.
  • Policy Changes: If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page.
